Shed a little light

Smuggler

Seems the previous owner of this Hurst Airheart mc was using it to smuggle little bits of crack. Sneaky.

Z-bar fixture

Man, it sucks making z- bars. Trying to make clean repeatable cuts in tubing so the angles measure up nice was a pain in the ass with a chop saw and angle grinders.

Well, we finally have a Bridgeport in the shop so I made an adjustable fixture that just pops into the mill's vice. Now the angles will be much quicker to make exact... over and over.

New shop truck

We're lucky if this 4000 lb. Fork truck doesn't fall through to the basement. It'll certainly save the lower back from unnecessary lifting.

Music post 2: Do the Du

Music post 1: Deluxe

The video is a bit dated but the music still holds strong.

Chewing up time

It always amazes me how long it takes to lathe up some bungs when my backstock runs dry. I enjoy doing it but it certainly doesn't help pay the bills.

2 out of 5 ain't bad

5 rotor bolts, 1 snapped ez-out, a bit of heat, and some cutting/grinding.

1.5 hours of labor, all to sell a run of the mill 16" cast 9 spoke rear wheel for $40. I'm stupid.

Jason's tz bars...

... are done. Hope you dig 'em Jason. The dead on front pic makes them look like they flare apart, but they don't. It's camera trickery.

Process: GME mods

I don't usually like to cut/mod nice vintage tanks, but Ryan just wants to move the petcock on this low tunneled GME. I'll add a frisco petcock of the back of the tank tomorrow.
