Sneaky time

I was able to sneak away into the garage for an hour this morning before having to tackle the dreaded "basement clean-out" today.  Drilled a couple holes for the tail section front mounting bungs and used the old "pointy screw center punch" trick to help locate the holes I needed to drill.  Only a couple things I'll need to sort before wiring.

front quickness

Well, in making a quick release rear mount on "tank h", it made sense to make the front mount along the same lines.

-aluminum
-front skewer from a road bike
-measure, cut, lathe, thread, swear

quickie

I've had these quick disconnect pins for years, and with a little inspiration from my friend Mike @ 47 Industries I'm going to try and work one into a rear gas tank mount.  Made the top aluminum bit for easier grip upon pin removal and the weld in bung that the pin will reside in.  Now I need to figure out a quick front tank mount.

Just some pics

Been busy, I'll be back to posting more bike/fab/progress/crappy pics soon.
