Process

Burly exhaust hanger/mount for the 2 into 1 on Bruce's CFL project.  Seeing how this is the only location for a mount off this aftermarket pipe, it made sense to make it a strong one.

Ream that thing

Just need to get a new, proper sized ball hone, finish to spec, and finally put the top end back on.

Up for sale

Up for sale on eBay.

Something about selling objects that are so personal to oneself unnerves me.  Well, at least I really enjoy the creative process.

Before and after

Previous owner was a bit too aggressive with the cut off wheel.

Triumph and dork

Dennis sent me this pic of the Triumph we recently helped him get put together.  Tank, seat mounting/shaping, frame shaving, exhaust/chain tensioner/remote oil filter mounting, fender mounting/shaping/sissybar/struts, stainless springer handlebars, and plate/taillight mount (not pictured).  Yes, the orange front springer legs have been brought back to black.  I really dig this bike, can't wait to see it all painted up.  Seat work by Christian @ Xianleather, so classy.

You can tell that I don't know what to do when posing behind a bike.

A long time ago...

... in a galaxy far, far away.  I used to make things like this.  Sterling silver industrial panel light poison ring.  Even when I was studying metalworking and art in school, it seems that I was always trying to create work with a purpose that was more than just sitting beneath a plexiglass cube in a gallery.  Function was the main reason I moved my metalwork in the direction it resides now.  Well... that and the love for stuff with motors.

lunchtime...

... and I get to take the recently finished sportster out for a ride.  Super fun and stable, feels like I'm glued to the pavement on this thing.  Makes me forget that I built this bike to sell in the near future.  Oh well, I'll certainly enjoy it while it's in my hands.
