Man down

Joe "the fish" Cano had a serious run in with a minivan riding with some of his Hated of the World crew in Boston yesterday. I wish him a speedy recovery and offer any help needed.

Here's a photo of his slabside from about a month back. When you read this Joe, heal yourself up first and only then the focus can be put on your whip.

New digs

Started the cleanup of the new shop space, much to do before any equipment rolls in. This will be a big step for my small fabrication business (as well as my friends involved), I'll be taking on apprenticeships in the very near future to teach my metal hacking knowledge in trade for prep help with customer work.

Rust never sleeps...

... and it always complicates welding. Joel's tank is getting closer now that I've decided on a strategy. I wish the front beads were smoother but the thin gauge steel with rust pitting on the inside is dicey to weld.

Went out West to celebrate a couple birthdays, hang with some dear friends, dive for treasure, do some boating, drink more than usual, and win a tournament. Now back to fabricating in 90 degree humid heat.
