Eric's sporty

Eric sent me a couple pics of his bike after he got it all back together and running.  Nice.

Good stuff

I recently received a package from Tyler @ Lowbrow Customs.  Not only did it contain the gas cap/bung that he wants put into his narrowed Wassel banana tank, but hidden inside was a hot beverage holder, kick ass stickers, and a dope poster.  Ruler.

Cole's 94 Sportster

Cole sent me this photo thanking me for inspiring him at one point during his build. I know how he feels, there are countless builders, fabricators, designers, and artists that inspire me on a daily basis. Some of them I've remembered to thank, others I will have to. Don't forget to thank and give respect to those who've come before you, because there's no such thing as a totally original idea. Fine job on the sporty Cole, nice and simple.

Mark's Triumph

Mark sent me a couple pics of his wicked Triumph.

CB350 frame work

This frame has been brewing in my mind for a while now. Tim brought the complete bike to me with the request for me to hardtail it and try to replace the backbone so he could run a narrower tunneled tank on it. These frames are tricky because the neck, backbone, and seat tube area are formed from stamped halves that are spot welded together. The traditional frame mods wouldn't work, so I decided to cut into the backbone and massage it a bit so I could slide a bent piece of 1 1/2" dom into the "saddle" area the cutout created. I've included a pic of the shit show welding job a previous owner performed on the awesome struts welded to the swingarm.

Progress

Just a couple pics of the progress on Ros's tank.

old xs risers

I have time in the shop while I wait for welds to cool, so I made a set of 7/8" risers from an old set of XS650 pieces I had lying around.

Pnut

A friend of mine from my grad school days makes/designs some fun, kick ass jewelry.  Pnut Jewelry is the name of Rusty's company, you should buy some stuff from him.  Oh, he also moonlights as a guitarist from time to time.

My jock side

Game 7 coming up Thursday night.  Growing up in the Northeast, playing hockey, cheering on the Bruins even when they sucked.

Pretty exiting times for B's fans in 2009.

Simple t-bars

These were built for an upcoming "how to" metal tech article for Iron Horse magazine.  Straight forward, no nonsense, built from 1" .120 wall mild steel dom tubing with 3 1/2" mounting spacing.  I left the grip areas long so they can be trimmed to your liking.  They've been cleaned up more since I took these build pics.  $100 shipped in the lower 48, $85 plus shipping anywhere else.  E-mail roche.special.79@gmail.com with interest or questions.

table work

Not bike stuff, but it's fun building these.  90 degree angle mania.  Table tops were installed and routed by the fellas that work at Non-metallic Solutions, the people I built these for.

Robin's tank

Robin's tank is complete.  Pad it, box it, ship it.

Joe S.

This is Joe, he wants to learn to weld so he can build a bike himself.  I need someone to help out with general shop stuff.  Seems like some kind of deal will be worked out.
MIG welding, day one, scrap metal.  Joe is happy.
