Show Class Peoples Choice for BF5

I'm really exited and honored to be involved in the Show Class Peoples Choice for Born Free 5.   The first builder cut list of 26 is formidable, I certainly have my work cut out for me.  I wish everyone the best of luck with their builds, I can't wait to see the bikes that come of this!

Man, I'm trying to get my ducks in a row for the upcoming El Diablo Run (#5).  I've never been, but I can imagine it would be well worth the effort.

Process

Modification of the stock '75-'76 right side brake/peg mount to a standard clevis mount.

Playing dress-up with an aluminum primary insert.

Primarily boring

I wanted the primary cover for the Show Class Peoples Choice ironhead to be understated, but it had a chrome cover on it when she became mine.  So the hunt for a decent non-chrome cover began... and ended with a bright yellow, dinged up piece that needed a chunk of elbow grease and welding love.   Now on to the next items on the checklist.

Not a motorcycle, but I like it nonetheless.  Made the carcass quickly out of poplar to see If the dimensions work.

Been awhile...

... since I've done any furniture or lighting work.  Time to turn some sketches into reality.
