This is what it looks like, waiting on a set of shocks from my friend Aaron so I can start thinking about the mounts.

I knew my lathe worked, I just couldn't think of a better title for this post at the time of creation.  Brass bits for a top secret project.

Newbie

I was recently called out by my friend Ashley about not updating my blog enough.  This new post is dedicated to him.  Finished tank with some brass bits.

New project

I decided to finally do something with the '71 XS650 I had sitting around in boxes.  The direction of this project is some sort of cafe/street tracker fusion bike.  I'm picking away at this while taking breaks from tank welding sessions.  I like looking at stuff for a long time, sometimes too long.  I guess it helps keep me from rushing into bad decisions.

The basic frame bends are done and pieced together.  This baby got a new backbone and tail section which will clean the lines up when all together.  Aside from that, the frame retains the stock engine cradle and swing arm mounts.

  

New addition to my shop

I've been waiting to buy a lathe for my shop for a while, and now I have one.  This 1938 South Bend 9" workshop lathe will take care of me.  What a pretty machine.

Aaron's tank

Just finished a tank for a bike my friend Aaron is building for a customer.  It's going on a XS650 frame that he reconstructed, I'm sure this bike will be a bad ass scoot.
