Working off a classic shape

Seems that I can't get away from tail sections and seatpans as of late.  Was going to try to use the original plastic tail piece and work it into a metal pan section but figured it would take the same amount of time to roughly duplicate the shape in metal.  I wish there was more flexibility in the customer's budget, with some extra attention to some little details this piece could be pretty trick.  

Eye picking time

Wearing a spark shield and glasses, I still found a way to bounce a bit of metal/abrasive off my chest and directly into my right eyeball dead center. Not too serious, but uncomfortable nonetheless. Mom, when you read this don't freak out. Emergency room eye picking time.

Almost got it sorted.

Tail

Basic overall shape is there, tweaks will be made.

Fresh meat

Along with new powdercoat and bearings these will go on the evo sportster I've been modifying. It'll be nice to replace those crappy, peeling spoked rims.
