Shit, I think it was the last show I saw at The Channel in Boston. Looking forward to seeing Mike and the boys here in Worcester. Artwork by the one and only Lance Mountain, stolen from the Lab blog here.
Finally got the commercial insurance settled for the new space... and a free shelf to hold crap that I should get rid of. Fab work will be back to full bore status in the very near future.
A while ago I received an e-mail from Lee. In this e-mail sent by someone I'd never met, he thanked me for not being an asshat. Well after a few more e-mails bounced back and forth, Lee sent me these pics of some bits he's been machining for his motobike project. Give him a shout at homagemotorworks@gmail.com if you'd like him to whip something up for you.
... my heart grow fonder. Actually, I always loved this bike. It belongs to a good man and friend though, so that makes it easier to swallow. Pretty cool write up and pics by Bill Bryant on Chopcult. Please don't refer to it as "Jay's shovelhead" anymore, it makes Walter mad.
Something about holding a file in my hand clears the mind. Focused concentration on this type of "feel" work is always satisfying, watching progress being created with your own two hands.
Caleb needed a set of 7/8" stainless narrow mini apes to work with his BSA project. A little cut, knurl, bend, weld, slug, weld, file, sand... well, you get the idea.
My friend Jake (Barnstorm Cycles) has had to put up with a good ribbing here and there over the stock aftermarket chopper tank he had perched on his knuckle's backbone. To me, it just didn't add anything to the bike, especially since Jake is a hell of a fabricator and welder. Well, he finally started to cut into a junk tank to get me off his case.
Chris Thomson recently got in touch with me to share what he's been up to at TGF. Got some pretty cool precious metal mashing going on Chris, keep up the fine work.
